Proud Mary is named after Mary Stuart II, the wife of Lord Lieutenant William III and a great admirer and collector of Delft Blue in the Dutch Golden Age. The figurine gives the iconic Blue Delft a contemporary look with a nod to the 17th century and is a modern design object and collector’s item.
The collection consists of large, hand-painted sculptures and smaller figurines decorated with a transfer print.
Proud Mary consists of four interchangeable elements: the skirt, the bodice, the collar and the head.
