A prominent item of the Eames collection was a large wooden whale of over two metres long, an anonymous work of folk art from North American. Charles and Ray Eames were exceptionally fond of the painted object and it occupied a permanent place in their office.
This smaller-scale reproduction of the Eames House Whale by Vitra is crafted from alder wood and painted by hand.
Due to the natural character of wood and the hand-painting, each piece is unique.
