Charles and Ray Eames designed the interiors of three lobbies in the new Time and Life Building at Rockefeller Center in New York. As part of this project, they developed a group of stools from solid walnut. These pieces were inspired by an African stool that stood in the living room of the Eames House.

The lathe-turned stools have distinctive individual profiles, which make the most striking impression when they are grouped together. The stools were also conceived by Ray to be used as small occasional tables.

The stools are available in 3 models.

Construction
Laminated sections of solid walnut, lathe-turned, transparent lacquer finish
