The ‘super large’ version of Wooden Doll No. 9 is enlarged to a scale of 4.15:1 and is about 80 centimeters high. Like the small models, the large Wooden Dolls are handcrafted and painted – just like the original Alexander Girard versions. Although the differences may be very small, each copy is in fact unique. The Wooden Dolls super large are numbered and limited to an edition of 1000 pieces per model.
The Wooden Dolls are a series of cheerful and grim wooden dolls, designed in 1952 by Alexander Girard for his own home. Nowadays they are a cheerful accent in every interior and a true collector’s item.
